Depending on what services you are interested in hiring an event planner for, they can pretty much do everything in the planning process and complete all tasks with your final approval.

 
A: Event Planners are generally independent business professionls who do not get a salary. Depending on your Event Planner, they get paid in various options. Some of the most common include Packages. Different packages will state what services are provided and given an estimated rate. Others generally chose to earn anywhere between 10-15% of the end cost of the event. Another option is an hourly rate. All are based upon the agreement and contract of the Event Planner and you, the Client.
